Target - Not What I expected...
I had recently purchased a Nikon camera from Target for my wife. We decided to return it 3-days later. I have read more than my fair share of reviews on this site to know that returning electronics at Walmart, Target, etc...can be like pulling teeth at a dentist. Regardless, with a receipt in my hand, I ventured forward.
When it was my turn in line, the customer service representative politely greeted me, and asked how she could help me today. I handed her the camera, placed in the box with all the attachments, instructions, etc...and explained I'd like to return it. I handed her the receipt and she instantly refunded my money in cash. There were no questions, or requests that I accept the refund in the form of store credit.
During the customary small talk, she asked what it was that I didn't like, and I explained it to her. As it turns out, she was very knowledgeable in photography. She had taken a few photography courses in college back in her day, and was very helpful in explaining precisely what type of camera we should ask for. The dreaded experience of returning an item, actually turned into a rather pleasant trip. Thanks Target!
