Dish Network - Double Charges
TV Network Provider - Complaint
LITTLETON, COLORADO -- After 3 months of working outside of resident state, Dish Network was requested to resume providing service from 4/1/13. We were asked to call a week in advance (received agent name (Joseph) his work id (48L) and confirmation number (076445). When we arrived back on 4/2 the received would not work. I purchased a new receiver (we originally purchased all the equipment)and had Dish Network activate. The May billing arrived and was dated 4/25. I called (Jay) work id (64)and explained we were requested to call a week in advance to have service resumed but requested it to be from 4/1. He refused to listen, insisted the service was activated from 3/25 (nobody living in house)and even though he had a record of activating the received on 4/2 he continued to insist the "billing was activated on 3/25".
This complaint is nothing to do with the $20+ for the extra week. It is a matter of principle. We did as requested by one agent and were treated with disdain by another.
I leave for another out of state assignment next month and will turn off Dish Network for good. Never again.
