Sears - Pool on Layaway
SHELBY, NORTH CAROLINA -- My husband went to Sears to layaway a 1000.00 pool and had no problem with that. He made the first payment on it at the time. The only reason we put it on layaway was because we had no where to put it until we had the ground level, so we could just bring it home and put it up. I went to Sears to make a payment on it the following Thursday and I told the guy at the check out lines that I would be there on Saturday to pick it up and he responed ok. Didn't have problem there.
And when we go to Sears on Saturday to pick it up they said the pool has not been ordered yet and that we would have to make the last payment before they will order it. Me or my husband was not told this either time that we were down there paying on this pool. My thought would be if someone put something on layaway they would go ahead and order it if they didn't have it in stock. so that when the customer came to pick it up it would be there for them.
So now were have payed them 1000.00 and it has been three weeks and we still do not have a pool. I read both of the receipts and neither one of them say that it will not be ordered until payed for. So I was just wanting everyone to know, DO NOT put anything on layaway at Sears if your are planning on getting it anytime soon.
