Dish TV - They Won't Stop Pestering Us

FAIRFIELD, CONNECTICUT -- A friend decided he wanted more information about Dish TV with the thought of perhaps changing to Dish because their ads say they now offer Internet and phone. So we called them for more information. After nearly an hour of discussion, we found that they don't offer either of these services "in our area". They have "partnered" with other companies in the area to actually provide the service. (If you have a problem with, say, your internet service, you have to call that company directly. Don't bother the Dish TV people!)
After being quoted a price that had so many options, it was impossible to remember them all, I asked for some paperwork explaining all this so we could decide. Well, seems you have to allow them to charge $1.00 to your credit card before they will send you the paperwork. - AND - you have to schedule an installation date as well. When I said no we didn't want to do that, we were told we would be connected with another department to "cancel" the paperwork and the installation - that hadn't been scheduled.
Since then, my friend has been getting several calls from Dish TV every day and an installer even showed up at his house when he wasn't there - the neighbors kicked him off the property. My friend can't get rid of them and is at about the point of filing harassment charges against them just to get rid of them.
