OREGON -- We built our home 12 years ago, and spent a lot of money on Jeld Wen windows and doors. Out of 33 windows in the house, we had to replace 15 of the windows in the past 3 years due to the seal breaking and the windows getting "foggy."

JeldWen's warranty for this expires after 10 years, so I have to buy new glass for another 10 windows, costing me thousands of dollars even with their discount they provide on their replacement windows for their defective windows. Where's the justice?

Guess I'll buy Anderson Windows on the next house!

Agreed, we bought a house built in 2006 with Jeld-Wen windows and they are horrible. 2 windows fixed already, filing a warranty repair for about 5 more due to seals breaking. The windows have warped causing the sun to reflect off them like it does through a magnifying glass...this has produced burned sections of our lawn, and has ruined our outdoor furniture by melting the cushions, they claim it's not their fault but I hope the broken seals are related to the windows being warped. I would never buy them for a house if I had a choice.

jeld wen windows - WORST CRAFTMANSHIP IVE EVER SEEN
their bullnose is not attached properly and lets water in after a couple of seasons
their weatherstrip disintegrates in hot sun
to paint them you have to remove weatherstrip to paint and it pulls off chunks of sash when removed
DO NOT BUY THESE WINDOWS UNLESS YOU LIKE SPENDING YOUR ENTIRE EXISTENCE TRYING IN VAIN TO KEEP THEM FROM ROTTING LEAKING LOSING THEIR SEAL...............
