Travelocity - Worst Experience Ever, Crooks and Thieves
Vacation Package - Complaint
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA -- My girlfriend and I tried to book a vacation package with this site but at checkout the website rejected the credit card and we were not able to book the trip but Travelocity put a hold of almost 4000 dollars on the card. When we contacted customer service in India no less, they were not helpful at all and blamed the rejection on the bank. They were not able to take off the pending charge and lied and said that the charges would be off in 24 hours.
They told us that it was the card so we used a different card to try and book over the phone and the same thing happened and my card was charged twice for almost 6000 dollars. Again no package was booked and they could not take off the charges. Customer service again lied and said that the pending charges would drop in 24 hours. 4 days went by and charges were still on both cards. Called customer service again and they gave us the same lie about contacting our bank and disputing the charges. They even said that they could only dispute the Travelocity charges and not the Arline charges that were put on the credit cards through their site.
Customer service blames the banks and then blamed us but were not helpful at all. I strongly advice that you never use their site to book anything because they will try to steal your money and then blame you for it.
