TORRANCE, CALIFORNIA -- April 1, 2012 I switched from Verizon to Sprint for my mobile phone carrier. For over 10 years, I'd had excellent coverage and connections with Verizon. When I decided to upgrade to a Smart Phone, I could no longer afford Verizon. Now I wish I'd stuck with them and found a way to pay the higher monthly fee.
Sprint's coverage area seems limited. And no matter where I am my calls are frequently dropped; often before the first ring. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy II with 4G capability.
Prior to Verizon, I'd been through about 5-6 carriers and left them all because of poor phone service and poor customer service. Once I got with Verizon, I had no problems at all. Now I feel as if I'm back in the 90s, before cell phone technology evolved to its present state.
I'm dropping Sprint as soon as possible. If I could afford it, I'd pay the high early termination fee. Yes, I'm that dissatisfied. Any savings I have in my monthly bill is eclipsed by my frustration and anger each time a call is dropped.
