Dish Network Complaint - Be careful of Dish Networks Contract
OAK LAWN, ILLINOIS -- Be careful when reading the Dish Network Contracts and/or Advertisements.
1. When it says up to 4 rooms for a certain price, it does not mean that all four rooms are included in that price. They will charge you $5 a month for each receiver you are using.
2. When you sing on for a long term contract, the monthly price is NOT GUARANTEED. They can raise your monthly price as they wish and the only way you can cancel their service is by paying aroung $300 for cancellation fees. I have file a bunch of complaints with BBB and Dish Network and also states attorney's office because I believe this should be illegal. How can you sign a contract and then be expected to pay whatever they feel like charging you. Main reason I switched to Dish Network because the advertised price was lower than what I was paying at Direct TV. Now, after three months of service, they raised the price on me, and I am paying more than I was paying with Direct TV. Who knows how much I will be paying in the future and I still have 15 months left with them.
Does anyone know where I can go to have this issue resolved? Dish keeps telling me there is nothing they can do about it, I signed the contract.
BE AWARE AND ASK QUESTIONS. GET EVERYTHING THEY SAY IN WRITING.
