OUTRAGEOUS TREATMENT

BEDFORD, TEXAS -- Reading all the review by other customers made me feel a little bit better about myself and my situation, because my experience with the local USPS office in Bedford, TX has been very similar like others and the worst part is that you try to complain to a supervisor or USPS online and and they treat you even worse. It makes you feel completely helpless.
My experience started 2 months ago when I was overseas for 3 weeks, my mailbox got full and the delivery person by the name of Pamela left a note that my mail will be held at the postal office because I am not emptying my box. I removed all the coupons and brochures that they stuff my mail box with and left a new sticker with my name (it s an apartment complex) . for 5 days in a row we were playing the same "game" with that individual - I put a sticker with my name, next day she removes it and put one stating "unclaim" and refuses to deliver my mail. Really? Is that a normal person. I went to their office, spoke to a supervisor and he made me fill a form so they can start deliver my mail again, meanwhile all the mail for past 4 weeks have been returned to sender.
As most of you know in the apartments there is an area wih all the mailboxes, and many people just throw around all that coupons, advertisements, brochures etc. A week ago I have a not in my mailbox from that person saying to" stop throwing my mail on the ground or I will return ALL your mail to sender. I AM NOT YOUR MAID!" - word for word. I went to USPS local office spoke a supervisor, he acted all serious about it, and next day - my new name sticker is removed again and no mail . The supervisor's name was Bobby (Mitchel ? Chad? or something). He assures me that will naver happen again, until next when my latest sticker is removed again and note saying " ALL mail is held at P.O - per Bobby whoever". I went looking for Bobby. He was hiding all day from me, turning down my phone calls and finally responded apologizing saying tomorrow I ll get my mail delivered. Today I got another one of my name stickers scratched from the mailbox, and no mail. Bobby is hiding again, but another supervisor answers my phone call and starts yelling in phone that she knows "all about" my situation, and they are not going to deliver my mail till I stop throwing stuff on the ground, literally acting like a drunk person, won't let me speak and threatens me with the police ??!!!! Fro what - she doesn't know either. when I was able to ask her - how could I throw mail on the ground when my mail is not being deliver for the past week, she responds that she sees the pictures...????? I submitted many complains on the USPS site last month, with no luck hearing from them, I ve complained to the inspector general with no luck either. today is poke to somebody from USPS consumer affairs and supposedly they "will see and investigate".
This is USPS, our federal government postal service. I don't know what are the qualifications for that department, but they definitely need to start doing polygraphing and psych evaluation. I am just speechless. This is outrageous!

USPS Sells Consumer Information to Data Mining and Marketing Companies

BEND, OREGON -- The data mining industry in the United States is out of control with the United States Postal Service being a prime offender. When any American Consumer files an official change of address with the USPS the consumer's information is automatically sold to a marketing company.
Their mail boxes are quickly filled with various marketing offers. The company that purchased the information from the USPS then resells the consumer's names, complete address history and other valuable information to data mining companies.
The secret to not having your privacy violated by the United States Postal Service is never file an official change of address form or their online change of address.
Fourth Amendment - U.S. Constitution Search and Seizure
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
The USPS is violating the constitutional prohibition of unreasonable search and seizure. In private conversations this writer had with attorneys they agreed that the Fourth Amendment also applies to information and applies specifically to the federal government and it's agencies.
Instead of filing an official change of address form with the United States Postal Service you should contact every business you have a business relationship with and notify them of your new street address.
For example if you had a credit card with Wells Fargo, a car loan with GMAC and a student loan with a retail bank, you should contact them directly and completely ignore the United States Postal Service's change of address process.
I was appalled to find my personal information displayed publically on the internet. Several different data mining companies picked my information up and it has become a cat and mouse game tracking the information down and asking them to remove it.
Some data mining companies such as www.locatefamily.com have asked to be paid to remove it. This seems like extortion and it is time for the United States Congress to enact legislation.
On May 27, 2014 the Federal Trade Commission fulfilled its Charter to protect American Consumers by recommending that the Congress of the United States fulfill its obligation to protect American Consumers from the Data Mining industry by enacting new legislation.
In a report issued on May 27, 2014 on the data broker industry, the Federal Trade Commission found that data brokers operate with a fundamental lack of transparency. The Commission recommends that Congress consider enacting legislation to make data broker practices more visible to consumers and to give consumers greater control over the immense amounts of personal information about them collected and shared by data brokers.
So far the Congress of the United States has not produced any results.
The new legislation should be modeled after the Federal Credit Reporting Act complete with serious financial penalties for willful noncompliance, punitive damages and reasonable attorney's fees.
A possible name for the new legislation could be the Federal Consumer Data Protection Act and modeled after the FCRA.
The Federal Credit Protection Act protects consumers from abuses in the credit reporting industry.
The Federal Consumer Data Protection Act should be modeled after the FCRA complete with penalties for willful noncompliance, attorney's fees and punitive damages.
If you want to change the behavior of the data mining industry you have to financially motivate them.
How it will work. The Federal Trade Commission will have an online data mining opt out form. American Consumers will simply enroll online into the Federal Trade Commission's data mining opt out database.
The data miners will be obligated to check the FTC's data mining opt out database and then delete any information that have on that consumer.
It is this easy. I was a software developer for years and this is very simple plan to implement. The data mining industry should be able to accomplish this in hours not weeks.
The Federal Consumer Data Protection Act should include complete deletion of the data from the databases and servers of the data miners. And a strict prohibition that the data miners are not to trade, sell, hide or otherwise conceal the information.
Simply suppressing the offending information from public view is completely unacceptable. Violation of the mandatory complete deletion of the offending information should result in punitive damages, reasonable attorney's fees and any other sanction that a competent court would allow against the data miners.
If you agree with my critical review of the United States Postal Service and the data mining industry I suggest you call, email or write your congressman and senators until they produce the necessary protective legislation.
If your congressman or senators are not producing any results, then get rid of them.

USPS Mafia

Rating: 1/51

NEW BRAUNFELS, TEXAS -- I was taken by the USPS mafia. I sold some electronic equipment on eBay on 8/29/18 for $700. Being a good eBay seller, I wanted to ship it that day. I took it to UPS to ship and found out the cost of shipping was a lot more than I expected. So, I decided to save a few $$$ and ship with USPS (bad decision). I shipped 3 boxes 2 Day Priority INSURED for a total of $143.45. The 2 smaller boxes arrived to the buyer, but the larger 33 lbs box never arrived.

Fast forward a couple of months past HOURS on the phone with USPS, being on hold 2 HOURS at a time, being told it was a t post office in Chicago, having my buyer physically go where USPS said it was, filing missing mail claims, filing insurance claims, going to the post office and waiting in line to fill out refund paperwork, here is the result: USPS DOES NOT REFUND SHIPPING COSTS FOR PRIORITY MAIL! It doesn't matter how much it costs or if the mailman sets it on fire right in front of you. Once they have your money and your package, good luck!

USPS WILL NOT PAY THE INSURANCE CLAIM UNLESS YOU CAN PROVE THE VALUE OF THE ITEM TO THEIR SATISFACTION! I have no purchase receipt for the equipment, so I can't prove the value. I did sell several items on eBay for $700 (the equipment has never been opened and is worth well more than that), but apparently the eBay transcript and PayPal logs are not enough to prove the value.

My claim has been denied and my final appeal has been "under review" since 9/17/18. YOU CAN"T SPEAK TO A PERSON TO EXPLAIN THE PROBLEM! When it comes to filing this claim - you cannot speak to a real person to explain that is was an eBay sell and the circumstances. You submit the forms online and have a 200 character explanation box. Why ask me how much my item is worth and assign a $$ amount for insurance if you aren't going to pay when you lose/damage the item? Why can you charge me for a service, not fulfill the service, and expect that you do not need to provide a refund? What can I do about it? Probably nothing but complain on the internet...

NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- My registered Letter has been at ISC New York, NY (USPS) since March 9. What does it mean? Letter stuck for 3 Weeks in New York ISC (USPS). Will I ever get it? How long does a registered Letter stay at New York's ISC? How long does it take to get through the ISC New York? Where does a package go after it leaves the ISC USPS in New York, New York?

It says at the DHL Tracking number **. Fri, 09.03.18 02:51 United States. The shipment has arrived in the destination country. Next step: The shipment is being transported to the delivery depot. It never went anywhere. I called and got 5 phone numbers when I called the USPS registered Postal Inspection Service office. This is the 2nd registered letter from Germany who never got to the destination delivery office. The DHL.de complaint and what I get was only, the registered letter could not be found. It looks like someone is not doing their Job right, or are people there they are not honest??? I would like to get information where my letter is???

I would appreciate if this can be solved.

Lost Package, Rude People

KATY, TEXAS -- My bank account was hacked 1 week ago. My new debit card was mailed to me 2-day priority mail envelope on 10/9/2015. Scheduled delivery of no later than 10/13/2015. On 10/13/2015 it was pushed back to 10/14/2015. On 10/14/2015 tracking said "out for delivery" at 9:06 am. I waited all day for my lifeline to my bank account to come in and nothing. As of 11:06 pm 10/14/2015 it was still "out for delivery".

On the morning of 10/15/2015 I called both local post offices with no answer, 10 time each. I went to the office and waited in line for 35 minutes for them to tell me that the package was not there and that the carrier assigned to my address did not have it either. Why have tracking numbers at all?! I then returned home, extremely upset, and the mail person was there. He was extremely rude saying that it was not his problem it was lost and telling me I was lying that it was out for delivery at 9:06 am because they did not leave the building that early.

I proceeded to pull up the tracking on my phone and show him in which he gave me his supervisor's number. I called the supervisor and before I could get two words out he informed me that the number I was given was his personal cell and he would not talk to me over that number. I said I need another number to call then and he said "I won't be at the post office for an hour. Call the number online then" and hung up! I WILL NEVER USE USPS AGAIN. Without this new card I cannot access my accounts. They are screwing with people's lives and don't even care. I asked why even offer 2-day priority mail if it won't be delivered by then?!

Arlington Hts., IL USPS

ARLINGTON HTS, ILLINOIS -- The Arlington Heights, IL 60005 Post office is the worst post office I have ever dealt with. The man in charge is Mr. **. He obviously is not managing it very well. The latest in a long list of failings by this post office is about the hold mail service. I have a receipt that states our mail was to be held from 3/2 ending on 3/16. Needless to say this did not happen. I know this because my neighbor came over yesterday with some of our mail that was delivered to her on 3/13. She said that the driver delivering the mail was on their cell phone while delivering it. Then we called our other neighbor and they said they had all of our mail from 3/2 to today.

So, they failed to hold the mail and delivered all of it and the driver delivering the mail does not pay attention to who they are delivering the mail to while on the phone. We and many other people I speak with say a lot of the same things we do. Mail is constantly delivered to the wrong address or we never get some of our mail. I have a post office box with this post office and I have been fighting with them for almost a year now on getting someone else's mail. They finally quit giving me this other guy's mail and instead started to refuse the mail I was supposed to get.

I get customers telling me they have received mail back saying the address is wrong. Of course that is not the case. Also, my bank said the statements they have been sending to that post office box for years was being returned because of wrong address. Again there was nothing wrong with the address. I have tried contacting the newspapers and government officials for help but that did not work. So, the only way for me to fix the problem is to move away from our post office area and get a P.O. box at another post office.

This post office is so bad that I have been to other post offices that are aware of the Arlington Hts, post office's bad reputation. Why isn't the government doing anything about this? Because they are just as bad. Our tax bill is out of control in Arlington Hts. and we get poor services to boot. Whatever you do I would not move to Arlington Hts., taxes are out of control and so is the government and Post Office.

I had to yell "I have a compliant" just to talk to a human

MESA, ARIZONA -- I usually use UPS, but the person I bought this dress from used USPS. The package is literally down the street from me at the PO, but apparently, it is undeliverable as addressed. It has literally shipped across the country, and they suddenly lost the address?! **. I checked the address I gave to the seller and it was correct. I have no clue why it's not working.

I'm on hold for customer service as I am typing this. And with the customer service, it is nearly impossible to talk to a human. I literally yelled "I have a complaint" and I got sent straight to customer service, only to be on hold for like the past 2 hours. 22 to 45 minutes my ass. USPS is a terrible and unreliable service with horrible ways of dealing with customer service.
