BROOKSVILLE, FLORIDA -- At first I did not want to go with DISH because of all the horrible stories and when I called them and heard about the contracts and fees I really wasn't very happy. I live in the middle of nowhere so I couldn't get anything else so it was them or nothing. When the tech came in to install the only one that was home was my 77 year old father. So when the tech explained everything my dad didn't remember so I had no idea how to use the system but I figured it out on my own because its surprisingly pretty user friendly.
The buttons are in weird spots but that's probably because I came from bright house and I was so use to their system. The only issue I had was how to turn off prime time recording so I looked it up ( if your having an issue stopping a recording it's because it's a prime time recording) but if I had looked a little more I could have easily found it I was just being lazy. Next I wanted to know why it wasn't recording as many shows as it did with prime time so the customer care person explained why and offered to have someone come out and replace one of my joeys with another hopper totally free. No service charge or anything!
I'm very happy with them so far and I like that I can call customer care any time as I am not home for a good 12 hours a day on weekdays. I wouldn't say just jump in and get them because the contracts and fees are a little much but if you have no other choice like I did its worth a try its only 2 years which is the same with a phone contract.
