Fastcar Hire in UK - Takes our booking and full money paid and then cancels our booking and never refunds!

UK -- We used a company called Fastcar Hire in the UK to book our car in the USA and they took our money 6 months in advanced (paid in full to them via paypal) and then they cancelled our car 2 days before our scheduled pick up date and to date have not refunded our money despite us sending 8 messages and calling them 3 times (only being able to leave messages!) They are a very bad company who take peoples money with no intention of fulfilling their obligations to provide a car!

Six months may be outside the Paypal dispute period, but Paypal may use the contracted service date for a dispute in this case. Never hurts to file a dispute and see what happens.

Next time book direct with a major car rental direct. Not that they will not screw people given the chance, but at least they answer emails and their phone.

Did you pay with a credit card through paypal? If so you may be able to file a dispute with the credit card.
