Emtec - Poor Customer Service

JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA -- I took my laptop to Emtec to be repaired last Monday (5/13) because they are the only authorized Lenovo repair team in my city (which is pretty big). I gave them all the information on what was wrong with it and left the computer with the receptionist who told me that she would have the repair tech call me the next day. I never received a call. I called Friday to see what the status was and only got voicemail of the service manager. I called again today and talked to the receptionist who forwarded me again to the repair tech who didn't pick up so I had to leave another message. About 30 min. later, I tried to call again and finally the tech picked up. I asked if he received my message and he replied that he was unable to check his voicemail today so far. No big deal. I asked him if my laptop had been repaired and he apparently had a ticket on his desk to call me (this was at 3pm in the afternoon and they close at 5pm). He told me that the s/n was not a serviceable laptop and that I probably would have to mail it in. I told the serial number to the receptionist AND the service manager and no one checked it before I brought it in. I could have saved a lot of time and hassle if they had checked it. Now, my laptop has been there over a week and I am forced to send it to Lenovo to get fixed. I am really annoyed that I was not spared this wait all because of a simple search of the s/n. I do not recommend this company. They don't return messages and take forever for simple things.
