Sharper Image Compliment - Offered a refund within hours - Ionic Breeze

Ionic Breeze - Compliment
Review by Sparticus on 2006-02-25
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS -- I had purchased two Ionic Breeze air purifiers about 3 years ago. Last fall both stopped working about the same time.

Out of the blue I decided to try and email Sharper Image about replacements. I used this site to look up an email contact at Sharper Image and sent them a message detailing my disappointment in their product lasting only 3 years.

Within hours I received a reply and apologee as well as an electronic UPS shipping label to send my units back for replacement!

Sharper Image has definitely proven to me they care about their customers and stand behind their products.

perhaps they offered a quick refund because they think you read the Consumer Reports article exposing ionic breezes as the worthless pieces of junk they are

Well I'm hoping the "replacements" are a bit more reliable. Unless I am wrong to think that 3 years is a short life-span for such a product? They did work well for their purpose (next to the litter box!)... ;-)

I just inherited one of these gizmos. So far, seems to be keeping the basement a bit fresher. Glad I didn't have to pay for one though.

I had been interested in getting one--but the price is too much, IMHO. If the new units run for 3 years, that'll come to what? A hundred dollars a year? It might have been worth your while to buy them, then.

I ended up getting both replaced. We simply took the broken units into our local store and they exchanged them for 2 new units, no questions asked. Well the only question was when we purchased them, since they apparently have the 5 year warranty. I was very happy with the way Sharper Image handled it.
