Dish - Obsolete Equipment Charges

GARDENA, CALIFORNIA -- DISH charged me for UPS shipping to return their obsolete equipment. I returned their box and their remotes as instructed. Then they email me and said my account was being charged for LNBF N/A $ 17.00; this is in addition to shipping charges for their cable box and remotes. What the hell is that? Its just an excuse to punish me for being a good customer for 5 + years. Before that I was with DirecTV and BTW they don't want their obsolete boxes or remotes back. DISH is a ripoff company.

BTW, before I cancelled DISH, I asked them what kind of deal I could get for HDTV; it was ridiculously expensive and would not give me any price break.

You did not return a piece of the equipment: the LNBF (the part at the nose of the dish.) $17 is pretty cheap, but that is the cost of replacement

I just got an email with the same thing and I DID return everything I was given -they have been harassing me for 3 wks now with 2 phone calls a day about something or another ! I HATE DISH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
