CHICAGO, ILLINOIS -- Never in my 45 years of world travel have I had to deal with a more incompetent travel agency! I recently booked over $14,000 worth of international tickets to Asia through these clowns. However, when changes had to be made due to family bereavement, all "heck" broke loose. The outsourced customer service agents had no clue what they were doing and offered a different (wrong) answer every time I called them (One even refused to let me talk to her supervisor after failing to answer "ALL" of my questions). I was told to cancel flights first, and then re-book, but now have to wait up to 1.5 months in order to receive my refund... they somehow neglected to tell me that beforehand... my trip will be history by then. Very deceptive business practices and poorly trained personnel prompt me to warn all travelers to… NEVER USE CHEAPTICKETS. COM FOR ANY REASON.

"$14,000 worth of international tickets". Never trust these sleazy 3rd party travel sites with your money. I would not give them $14 much less $14,000, they will keep it as long as possible. Then ding you with BS fee's to keep as much of it as they can when they do finally have to return what's left of it.

Personally, I would never use any of these 3rd party sites that promise cheap or discounted fares/tickets/lodging. All I see are complaints, and I don't want to get into that situation myself.

Hi,
My name is Lynne and I’m a member of the Orbitz Customer Relations Team. I apologize you’ve had such a difficult experience. Unfortunately, the airline mandates the rules for exchanges and/or any waivers in the case of family emergency. Orbitz, as a third party, must adhere to those rules at all times. I understand from your comments there’s been an issue in following the airline guidelines, and I’d like to assist you.
If you’d please email us at socialnetwork@orbitz.com, and include the Orbitz Confirmation, I’ll be able to look into your concern. Thank you for reaching out. I look forward to hearing back from you.
Sincerely,
Lynne

I to had a horrible experience. Frontier Airlines declined our doctors note for a refund. I received the email from Cheaptickets, and they said to call Cheaptickets and they can see about applying the refund to a future reservation with Frontier. I called and was transferred three times, for them to say I must contact Frontier regarding it. Yet the email from Cheaptickets told me to call them regarding it, and gave me the number of 888-922-8849. Terrible!
