NEW JERSEY -- I had purchased an extended warranty from Direct Buy(VSC#59932245), ( The best warranty they called PLATINUM), supposedly, covers bumper to bumper for two years or 24k miles,(with a free rental car) in the amount of $2,000, on 03/11/2013. My Mercedes S600 had 68k miles on it when I purchased the policy. On 04/23/2013 the check engine light came on and the door locks wouldn't lock at 70,800 miles, so I called the company (Direct Buy) for pre- authorization for the repairs; I was told to take the car to any dealer and they will send out their investigator to approve the charges.

The Mercedes service advisor called them with the estimate; at that time she was told an investigator will be out within 24 hours. No investigator showed up, instead they called me to tell me that the claim was denied because they feel it is pre existing. I requested to speak to a manager and I was told that they are in the corporate office. They don't talk directly to the customers; therefore no phone number will be provided. So I asked her, how do I file a complaint?. She said you have to write to them. I have written to them but had no response. I am in CA and they are in NJ, I don't even have their address in CA to sue them.
