Bill Me Later - Beware of Deceptive Billing and Payment Practices!
PayPal Purchases - Complaint
I have used PayPal for several years with no problems. This past year, I elected to subscribe to Bill Me Later, as I make a number of purchases and liked the concept of spreading out my payments. I gave the same billing information to BML as to PayPal, and for the first several payments, there were no problems.
Then, I received emails and phone calls from BML that either they did not receive my monthly payment, or the payment was declined. My bank account had not changed, and remained in good standing. Each month, I have called BML to resolve the issue and make a payment beyond the minimum. They claimed that they had the wrong name or wrong routing number on the account, resulting in having my payment declined. Each time, I believed the issue to be resolved, and payment made. Finally, I received a phone call from BML that I had not made a payment for several months!
All prior communications did not, apparently, resolve any issues or mistakes on their part. I made full payment on my balance, and will never use BML again. Beware! I have reported them to the BBB.
