Country Accents Magazine Complaint - Never Received Subscription
NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- In December 2000, I sent a check to Country Accents Magazine for a one year subscription. That check was cashed on December 27, 2000.
When I had not received my subscription by February 2001, I sent a fax to your magazine. (I tried calling your 800 number number listed in the magazine but it was never answered!). I received a letter from Lorraine Shea (Editor) dated March 14, 2001 stating there had been printing problems but they had been resolved and I would be receiving my February/March and April/May issues within the next few weeks. Again, I did not receive any magazines and sent antoher fax on June 13, 2001. 'Mary' from the circulation department left me a message stating there were printing problems and I would be getting my magazines soon. I have left numerous telephone messages (no one on any extension at Goldman Media Group will answer their telephone. I finally received an email and voice mail from Kimberly Chen stating the same message - printing problems. Subsequent requests for an honest answer and/or a refund have been left unanswered.
I must say I have never experienced such poor customer service. Does the magazine still exist? I know this summer it was being sold in stores but apparently subscriptions were not being fulfilled! Is there really such a company as Goldman Media Group? If so, why is their customer service so poor?
Can someone give me an honest answer about the situation? If the magazine is out of business, then I certainly expect my refund immediately.
To help keep me as a potential future customer, I would like the following:
I want my subscription. As a business courtesy for a YEAR LONG WAIT, I feel I should get a year's subscription AND my money back.
At the very least I would like a response from your company regarding this incident. Thank you for your time.
