Uniden Impossible to Reach for a Simple Answer
Uniden DECT1480-3 - Complaint
The phonebook and CID features disappeared on all 3 phones today, giving the message "unavailable." I couldn't contact Uniden after 30 minutes of tries. The automated phone customer service, which claimed to have improved recently, alternately: (1) cut me off after a wait of several minutes and (2) refused to recognize the model number as valid (this happened twice).
The e-mail for tech support had no such model number, and when I selected the nearest one to it, then wrote and submitted the e-mail, the immediate response was a questionnaire to "confirm" the message with a password. To acquire a password I would have had to register on yet another site and provide them personal data about which there was no privacy guarantee and which they didn't need, anyway, to answer my simple question of what to do about the unavailable phonebook & CID. Uniden supplies no other contact.
Guess they're hiding from unhappy customers.
