Lack of Care for a Child

FREDERICKSBURG, VIRGINIA -- As others said, they don't even deserve 1 star. Putting aside that they put me in the hospital last year by not attaching all the warning labels on my Rx; what they did to my granddaughter this year was horrible also. Went to the CVS in our Central Park, Fredericksburg, VA Target straight from the doctor's office. My daughter told the pharmacist she was picking up an RX the Dr's office had sent over. The pharmacist reluctantly looked for it, then said he wouldn't fill it because it was written a certain way.

My daughter asked him to call the Dr's office and he refused. He said he was filling another RX and then closing! We had been told my granddaughter's condition was very serious and we needed the medicine immediately. This upset my daughter so much she was crying and trying to call the Dr's office and the pharmacist just closed his window and left. This left a very ill 6 year old girl with no medicine! What kind of medical professional does that?

My daughter then asked the Dr. to send the RX to the only all night pharmacy in our area which, unfortunately, is also a CVS. That pharmacist also said he couldn't fill it the way it was written, since that appeared to be for an injection, but he would NOT call the dr. and straighten it out. My daughter called the dr. again and we were told they'd call the pharmacy and fix the RX. The CVS pharmacist knew we were waiting. He left us sitting there for 2 hours, in his sight, and never bothered to tell us that he hadn't heard from the dr. yet. Eventually the dr. did get it straightened out and it was filled. The treatment of these 2 CVS pharmacists to a 6 year old girl's immediate need for medicine is absolutely deplorable, however. Do Not use CVS pharmacies if you have any other choice at all!

Backpack Policy

CONSHOHOCKEN, PENNSYLVANIA -- After leaving work (after a long hard day, I confess), I took the bus to the CVS I regularly shop at. I had my backpack on because I was coming from work and it's MY PURSE. Now I just wanted to do my shopping and go home. I was tired, I had a hard day. Unfortunately, the man behind the counter kindly told me I had to give him my backpack to shop there and that it was their new policy.

Unfortunately I don't have a car so I have to carry important things in my backpack. I DON'T GIVE MY BACKPACK TO ANYONE as it is my purse. I told him I wasn't some teenager, I was a 55 year old woman. And now angry woman because unless I gave up something personal to a stranger I couldn't shop. I finally left without buying anything. I went somewhere else to shop where they didn't care about my backpack.

Here's the point: Some of us don't have a car nor the convenience of a car to throw all of our stuff in especially when we are en route to our job or on the way home. Some of us are bus riders and our backpacks are our purses and sometimes our shopping bag. And some of us do not feel comfortable leaving our personal belongings with strangers. ALSO IF THIS IS A POLICY THEN A SIGN NEEDS TO BE POSTED ON THE ENTRANCE. Also what about the big handbags or reusable bags people shop with, should they be left upfront too? How about baby strollers and coats?

I used to work in retail and I can tell you people didn't just use only backpacks to shoplift with, they used baby strollers, purses and coats. If shoplifting is a problem, then I suggest that you do what some stores do - post a sign on the entrance and have a locker system where I can lock my own backpack up for a quarter or free.

Discrimination

ROY, UTAH -- I was at the store in Roy Utah the other day and was discriminated against. I suffer from bipolar disorder full adhd and anxiety a LEGALLY DOCUMENTED DISABILITY. The medication I take for it impairs my judgment that I need to drive a car so I ride the bus. I had to stop and get a couple of things and had a ride arranged with family to get from there to home as the bus does not have any service in my home town. I went in to get my items and then went outside to sit down as I also suffer from a herniated disc in my lower back. I sat on the ground on the side of the parking lot next to the building as there were no benches available to sit on. I women then pulled into the parking lot and her lights were blinding me so I waved my arms and motioned her to turn them off that they were blinding me. She gets out of her car and VERY SNOBBISHLY says " well that's a stupid place to sit". I told her that my back was hurting and there were NO BENCHES to sit on and she LITERALLY stuck her nose up in the air to snub me. Having been bullied for my disability my entire life, I got up and walked into the store to stand up to her and let her know that I would NOT TOLERATE being bullied. The CVS staff babied and cottled her and made me leave the store and told me that if I entered the store again I would be arrested. I looked on their website and they have a PDF file that states CVS WILL NOT DISCRIMINATE people for race, religion, sex or DISABILITY, My ride had not arrived yet so I calmed down a little and sat on the curb of the parking lot but the head pharmacist came out and LITERALLY PHYSICALLY escorted me off the premises. I am also not allowed to get off the bus at that particular bus stop as it is also located on the premises of the store. It is not even within CVS juris diction for them to do that. This woman provoked me and then when I stood up to her which I LEGALLY have the right to do, she cries harassment to the CVS staff and they would not even hear MY side of the issue. When you provoke someone with a MENTAL ILLNESS reactions such as mine are EXPECTED especially when you have been bullied your entire life for being BORN with a chemical imbalance in your brain. I got very little emotional support when I was growing up. I am so quick to anger that I am LITERALLY mentally UNable to hold down a job. CVS supports and promotes outright BIGOTRY AND INTOLERANCE while at the same time the discrimination policy states it does NOT discriminate. I will not be patronizing CVS again.

BLUE SPRINGS, MISSOURI -- 3201 Highway 7 South. Blue Springs, MO 640154 - WORST group of ladies working there EVER! A bunch of bitter HAGS! Especially the 2 blondes to be exact. I think the old blonde lady manager trains everyone how to be a you-know-what to all the customers that use coupons.

The other old blonde lady (the one whose hair represents she still thinks she's living' in the 80's) thinks it's OK to correct my child because my child pushed the Zantac lever on the shelf. WHOOPDIE-DOO lady!! Excuse me... MY CHILD, I'll do the correcting IF I think it's necessary! In this case, it wasn't necessary, and it's your job to re-front the shelf if items get moved, so get off your high horse, mind your own biz, keep your comments to my child to YOURSELF, and re-front the shelf! You are getting paid to do that for cryin' out loud!

So basically, I get treated like crap every time I'm at the register and it's because I use coupons. Seriously. Coupons that your store mails in and gets paid for. Coupons that affect your paycheck IN NO WAY AT ALL. So do your job, ring me up with kindness and a smile, and go cry about it when your shift is over and you go home!! In the meantime, I'll continue to shop there with my pile of coupons, laugh every time at your silly anger towards my coupon use, and ignore your bitter hateful attitudes!

Learn to Treat Your Customers Better

BAYSIDE, NEW YORK -- There was a display of detergent at the end of one of the aisles. Above the display was a large sign "buy one get one free." However, there was no price. I inquired as to the amount and was told it was not coming up with the 2nd one free. I asked for the store manager and returned to wait at the display.

Along comes a young man who proceeds to pull the sign down and tear it up. He then informs me the sign should not have been there as it was for next week. He then said too bad as he was the store manager (looked like a 15-year-old). Do you believe the attitude??? I called the main customer relations number and am still waiting for a callback!!! What has happened to good old customer service???

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA -- Yesterday I have never been treated so rude by an employee. She went to the extreme and said I was using extra cards to print a $1.00 coupon from the CVS website and then started picking up each of my products and said, "Did you pay for it?" Yes I did! And then accused me of stealing a $1.00 bag of popcorn that I sat down to the side and decided not to buy then she put it in my cart after I said I didn't want it. Then said, "You have a bag of popcorn you didn't pay for."

She was also staring at me hunched up right behind me I couldn't move... Complete Rude Nastiness who needs to be fired ASAP. Nasty CVS Woman, you have a major issue and are a complete Brown Noser!!! Get a life and I hope you will be fired. Never shop at that Cvs across from Farmers Market again.

Uncaring Negligence

FREDERICKSBURG, VIRGINIA -- They filled a prescription when I was very ill. My husband picked it up, brought it home and read the "warning" labels on it; then gave it to me. There was NOT a label stating this had to be taken with food and no one at CVS had bothered to inform him of this. Since we had no knowledge of this I had not eaten before taking it. I ended up extremely nauseous, dehydrated and in the hospital. CVS will not respond to my messages/complaints. They should not be allowed to hold a pharmacy license! As busy as Walmart pharmacies are, they always give you a consult and be sure you know how to properly take the prescriptions. That CVS gets away with this uncaring negligence is a travesty.

Poor Customer Service

CHANDLER, ARIZONA -- Consistently BAD customer service at this store. Store essentially empty during a morning visit. One male cashier at front of store. Line is building. He calls for help on intercom. Tick tock, nobody comes. Now the wait/line is building as he continues to slowly help the first customer. He looks up at me, the next in line, and snaps "What would you like me to do?" No provocation. I'm stunned to say the least. I replied "Help is apparently not coming".

He goes "So what would you like me to do?" Well, your manager needs to make sure his store is better staffed or hire more responsive employees. The cashier continued to verbally challenge as I left the store...not buying a thing since I couldn't wait any longer.

Re CVS Coupon Policy...

CAMPBELL, CALIFORNIA -- I tried to use a 40% off coupon today only to find out that the policy is that coupons are only valid on non sale items...fair enough. However, the item I wanted was not exactly on sale, it was full price. But, if you purchased a second like item that 2nd item would be at 50% so this is considered a special offer and so coupon cannot be used. I find this disgusting! I was only purchasing one item at full price. When I looked at the other product back at the shelves I noted that ALL the items in this cosmetic dept were the same deal...planned ripoff in my view. I did not purchase item, will buy elsewhere and, not shop at CVS again as it is not the first time I have been unhappy there.

Coupons and Discounts

GAINESVILLE, FLORIDA -- The 25% coupons that are mailed to us have gotten to be a joke. Naturally they do not apply to anything on sale and almost every product of any value is on sale. Buy one / get on 50% off counts as a sale item even if you are only buying one and so again the coupon is of no value.

Even items on shelves that are not marked as on sale are sale items when you get them to the checkout. Today I bought $110.00 in product and got $5.00 off my purchase. One item was $29.00 - they only had one and I bought it. Then was told it was buy one get another half price. They didn't have another and the item was not marked that way. I will never go back. Too many other choices that end up being less money.
