DALLAS, TEXAS -- published here https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/5de0315cc845450ae41fba3b

Read the notes in my file you'll get up to date, if your employees made accurate notes about all the calls I've made to you, Instacart, my bank, and credit card company customer service. Recap I had $200 set aside for my family Thanksgiving. I ordered delivery in the Kroger app. No where did it say delivery was being outsourced. Next I get a text from Instacart their running 2 hours behind. That's when I looked up instacart then figured it out. I chatted with the shopper via of text on substitutions. It went silent for about 45 minutes when I get an email, not text, driver needs gate code. I replied via of text and email 154. I get another email meet shopper outside he can't find you. I go downstairs and the gate was propped open, people were moving, and didn't see anyone in my small half circle driveway entrance/exit in front of my complex. I text and emailed the gate had been open since 8:30pm, I asked the people moving, and your drivers at the wrong property. Next I get an email my order was cancelled! That was our Thanksgiving groceries. I sent 8 emails to customer service with Instacart to bring my order. You, Kroger, put a pending charge of $169.07 on my credit card that wouldn't drop off for 7-10 days. I called the bank, cc company, you, Instacart starting at 4am day before Thanksgiving. I only had available $30 left of credit to buy Thanksgiving. Your supervisor, heartless, said the best he would do is give me a $50 credit. I was furious for so much deception. The only way I could use the $50 was to get delivery! Forcing me to use you and Instacart again when you already had my $169.07. I didn't see the credit of $50 on my account so I called back Kroger and was told to type in "i have a $50 credit" on a product instructions for substitutions. I couldn't spend over $30 because I had to put my cc down again and your representative said you wouldn't make any charges. After checkout the $50 would be applied. This is what happen. You took the amount of groceries from my cc leaving me with no money to buy Thanksgiving and to top it off, you had the audacity to charge me a delivery fee plus driver tip. subtracted from that "$50 credit". You didn't give me $50. It worked out to be around $35. Once again you also put a pending charge on my cc leaving $3 available credit. You stole my family's Thanksgiving. I'm sending this to you on Thanksgiving since the only thing I had ingredients to make was a cake and bread in our bread machine. I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving knowing you screwed, stole my family's Thanksgiving. We're new to Dallas so we don't have anyone to even help us out. I will be posting this on every social network, Kroger's and Instacart website reviews, App Store, and sending this scam to channel 4.5 and 8. It is so hard on me when I have 3 sons home from college and can't give them Thanksgiving. I feel so stressed out, anxiety, depressed, like a horrible single parent. This is because even though both of your companies knew you blocked my money, had no groceries, would have no food for Thanksgiving, DID NOTHING! You should feel embarrasssed and ashamed of kicking me to the street. I want my money released immediately, something to make up for my family not having Thanksgiving except for a cake and loaf of bread, and some type of reprimand to every heartless, horrible customer service representative employee that I pleaded plus begged to help me was cold and heartless.
This I hope goes viral on the web. It is so unbelievably, I can't believe this happen. I'm going to do everything I can do for this story to post everywhere, viral, readers share in their threads, to expose your wrong. I am disabled and on a fix income I explained to every person I spoke with at Kroger hoping that personal information would escalate this to a problem solver. A problem that started with you and should have be resolved by you. I expect a reply that will rectify all the wrong you did to me for Thanksgiving.
How does Kroger stay in business? You must be getting bills in the mail reading second or final notice cause how do you pay to keep your lights on? You can't treat people like this when customer service is everything these days to retain repeat business. May you file for bankruptcy!

Weaseling out of a refund

DALLAS, TEXAS -- This store is typical of Kroger, not great but not horrible (4901 Maple Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75235). But they tend to be arrogant & dishonest. They can have long lines frequently. Here is the latest problem:I purchased a twin pack of Opti-free Replenish contact lens solution at this Kroger. When I returned home, I discovered that I had purchased the wrong Alcon product. I should have bought their Moist. I tried to return the wrong twin pack tonight (June 19th) and was refused a refund because the receipt that I thought was the one listing this product was so deteriorated by the goo on something that rubbed off on it that it was illegible. I asked the person at the counter & then the manager to check the bar code. They said that it would not appear. I doubted that. Then the manager checked the bar code against the entire store's sale of that exact product. He claimed that they had not sold that product within the last ten days. I had told them that I had purchased it within the last week or less. The manager denied what I said & I left in a huff. When I returned home, I went to the trash dumpster at the condo complex that I live in and dug through the garbage and found the receipt. I did have the wrong one earlier, but the receipt showed that I did purchase the Replenish at that Kroger on June 15th. I should not have to be subjected to such indignities and implicitly be called a liar. Either this manager is a liar or Kroger cannot keep their records accurately. Requiring a receipt when they can simply go by bar codes is a way to weasel out of returns. Bar codes should be enough to identify the product & when & where it was sold. Kroger is running a con game as they do all of the time by charging more than the price is marked on various products and then refusing to give the customer the product for free as they are supposed to do.

Pathetic Condition of Store

COLUMBUS, OHIO -- Kroger appears to be censoring what can be posted on their Facebook page. Doesn't surprise me. They also state that they are receiving a lot of feedback from customers lately. Hmmm...I know why. Here's a feedback message that I sent to Kroger a week ago. I gave them fair opportunity.

I have been a Kroger customer for decades. Even though there are cheaper alternatives I know when I walk into a Kroger store I can expect a certain experience level: bright clean stores, helpful workers and recently FRIENDLY workers. However, my opinion of Kroger has been severely impacted with a visit to the store on Soldano Blvd. I have visited more than a handful of Kroger stores. Never have I ever wanted to turn around and walk out. This store is a pathetic disgrace. The issue wasn't a simple end of Saturday mass shopping event.

This store had so many lights out you could tell that the manager simply didn't care; the darkness gave the store a dingy feel. The floors were despicable. The store was the worst grocery chain store I have ever walked into. This experience says a lot about the Kroger company. I did notice that the store is located in one of Columbus' more depressed areas.
spend $500 - $600 a month at Kroger in a given month as I find other grocery stores to be cheaper for the bulk of my grocery shopping, and after this experience I can say certainly cleaner. I realize that does not make me Kroger's largest customer. However, I've decided to become a consumer advocate. I have and will continue to
So Kroger only cares about a nice store experience for customers that live in affluent neighborhoods. I only report on social media and review sites about unacceptable issues with corporations.

I will not be visiting another Kroger store until this issue is resolved. In one week I will start posting comments on several social media and review sites. When I do post my review, I will add any comments that I receive from Kroger. The worst response would be a simple "we're sorry about this situation and are looking into it." The best response would be to provide specific details of the plans to get this location up to the expected condition. I sincerely look forward to hearing from you.

Larceny

DOUGLASVILLE, GEORGIA -- 12:33 pm. Shopper, please be aware that Kroger does not have your safety in mind when you shop. They allow homeless junkies sit on their furniture that is for sale outside their store. One saw me drop my wallet, then picked it up and ran off, while another junkie saw this happen on 6/26/15.

The next three days after telling the manager, they still allowed this to happen. Today, I got a call from Glenda, a claims adjuster from Kroger. She was very nasty and asked me what happened and before I could finish, she said Kroger is not responsible for other customers outside their store. I said that I should be just as safe outside where they have merchandise for sale, next to the pharmacy pick-up as I would on the inside.

She turned into a typical insurance company, clearly had made in her mind to deny my claim. What was the purpose of the call? She claimed I should have called the police and it's not Kroger's problem. Well, I did and it's called larceny. But it's also called a criminal act that took place on Kroger's property. It sounds like a premise liability under foreseeability and failure to act. Glenda claims that I want to argue so when or if Kroger responds to this post to defend I have the call recorded ready for a lie to be told.

This is the Kroger on Hospital Drive in Douglasville, Georgia. I have been a Kroger shopper for over ten years. If you can't assure customer safety inside and outside your store, post a sign saying shop at your own risk. But, don't have a person like Glenda to call a customer with that. Don't ask me what happen if you know you are going to deny a claim. What's the point? It makes me want to post the call. This is the first thing I have ever posted on.

Pharmacy Rudeness Incorrect Information Making You Pay When It's No Charge Instead of Them Finding Out Why They Just Tell You You

PROSPER TEXAS HIGHWAY 380 AND 423 -- This is not the first time I've had issues with Kroger's Pharmacy giving wrong meds. Not enough customers check their meds that's on them however when you're right you're right when a manager in a pharmacy tells you that they will no longer fill your meds because you stand up for what's right. I see that is a big big problem.

In this instance I was told a worker's comp medication I had to pay for. She argued with me in drive-thru and just flat told me she was not going to wait on me anymore but I can no longer fill my medications there anymore. They think that one customers review in- isn't going to mean anything. As I said before this is not the first time I have been issues with Kroger's pharmacies in the Denton, Texas area. I may be one person but I carry a lot of weight when it comes to customer's rights therefore I will no longer step into any other customer service area or store or Pharmacy pertaining to or affiliated with Kroger at any given time after this day. I'm done. Corporate does not do a damn thing about it. Plain and simple.

Hostile & Irrational Pharmacist

HALTON CITY, TEXAS -- Please gentle people, avoid this Haltom City pharmacy whenever possible. But, if you absolutely must of sheer necessity, patronage this location... then... at all costs... do NOT press the little yellow button to inform pharmacy staff of your presence at the walk-up window (outside of store)! If you accidentally press it once, then God forbid you press it again! Otherwise be prepared for an attack from a late arriving, livid pharmacist with the most belligerent, disrespectful attitude I have ever encountered from a "pseudo-professional".

Is it my fault the buzzer is impossible to hear from outside? Is it my fault the shades were still down at 9:05am, 5 minutes after opening time? Is it my fault the pharmacist was running late and hadn't even opened the pharmacy yet? Is it my fault she (apparently) forgot to take her own medication that day? Regardless, I greatly regret "pushing her buttons".

FISHERS, INDIANA -- I was verbally attacked by an employee while picking up my ClickList order. He yelled at me saying that he did not pack my goddamn order. To the point my twin 11 month old boys started to cry. Majority of my order was said not to be available. I went into the store and found all my missing products to be on the shelves. I spoke with the manager Dan and he acted like he cares, he's a great showman.

I called because I was missing items and still charged for them. I filled out a survey and Anna the assistant manager replied but said Dan has taken care of it. I have repeatedly called and emailed with no response. They charged me for items I did not get. The products I got had mold on them. The bread was smushed. This store and its management does not value its customers. I just want my money back for the items I did not get.

USe of Debit card

MCKINNEY, TEXAS -- Krogers will only allow use of a debit card if the transaction method is debit not credit unlike every other retail business. I've even used my bank issued debit card internationally and was able to use as a chredit card, meaning no need for entering a pin number, but not at Krogers.
I've heard from them:
"It's your bank..." Well, it's not my bank, I checked.
"It's the machine, not Kroger..." IT'S KROGER you lying idiot!

Side note....the produce is pretty bad, and the variety of selections have diminished such that I might as well shop at 7-11! At least 7-11will let me use my debit card the way banks intended!

Kroger 123 Rewards Rip Off

ST LOUIS, MISSOURI -- If you have a Kroger 123 Rewards card throw it away ASAP. I had racked up over one thousand plus points for rewards (per Kroger site). I went to use card and it was declined. I was confused and knew I was nowhere near my limit. I called US Bank who handles for Kroger. Kathy, (no last name) laughingly said we froze your account because you are four days late on your monthly payment. I asked Kathy, "Will this interfere with my rewards check due to me in August?" and Kathy giggled and said, “What do you think”. She enjoys her job way too much. I paid and chopped up my card. I also checked online and found that I now only have 66 reward points. Caveat emptor!
