Travelocity- Spirit Airlines - Missed 2nd Half of Connecting Flight
Vacation Packages - Complaint
BALTIMORE, MARYLAND -- On my wife and my 25th anniversary vacation in Cancun, we had a connecting flight in Fort Lauderdale on SPIRIT AIRLINES. After spending 3 hours in customs because customs only had 2 people, our flight left without 20 people. Spirit Airlines helped no one. I called Travelocity that night and they said I had to deal with spirit. By 9pm Spirit said they had a flight in 3 days for us. we paid for a room, a shuttle and 2 tickets on Southwest Airlines for the next morning at around $750. Spirit said they were not allowed to help us book with another carrier and we were left to do this ourselves. Five days later, I called Spirit for a refund and they say they sent it to Travelocity at $131.23. I called Travelocity and they said spirit sent it to us. BUYER BEWARE. Once they get your money, there is no help.
