I Love DirecTV!
MISSOULA, MONTANTA -- Some of these complaints are ridiculous. Of course you lose signal when it is pouring rain... you are getting the signal from a satellite in outer space! Yes your bill goes up. DirecTV gets charged for their channels by the networks. You can't expect them to not raise the rates when theirs go up. Please realize that DirecTV has over 16 million customers in the US. Most of the "ratings" you see online are the FEW people who have complaints. Complaining about paying for a tech to come out.. They do offer a warranty just like if you leased a car. You think techs work for free? Every single contract you sign now-days is riddled with small print. If you don't realize that, go live in a cave.
Customer service is great... 90% of the time I call I actually get an American who I can understand. Programming is top notch (NFL Sunday Ticket, tons of worth while HD channels, does not have 130 music channels and a bunch of channels like "Dish Earth" that you never watch). I personally love my DirecTV. Sure they are a little bit more expensive but look at what you get. Its like buying a Porsche over a Ford Taurus.
I personally love my DirecTV. I had Dish for several years and am glad I switched. NFL Sunday Tickey and MLB extra innings are worth it by themselves for me over Dish. Not to mention talking to somebody who actually speaks English upon the rare occasion that I need to talk to someone.
