Netspend Is A Ripoff
USA -- I opened a Netspend account for myself and also several of my client, as I am a tax preparer. I was not aware that I would not be able to have the fees that my clients were charged sent directly to my acct. Upon receiving notice( account being frozen) I sent no other transactions to.
This particular acct. prior to my discussion with the unprofessional customer service reps, I had a balance in my account of $1362. Without notice they closed my account which I was actually ok with once I realized how terrible their service was. Netspend claims they sent money via check to IRS but $816 of it actually originated from the state dept not federal. Needless to say IRS has no knowledge of the check. It has been several months since this all took place.
Still waiting..... According to all the bad reviews about this company concerning financial matters hopefully someone has the courage to come forward and sue.
