Po Folks Complaint - Absolutely the worst service I've encountered in a while
WARNER ROBINS, GEORGIA -- My wife and I visited the restaurant on February 15th at approximately 8:20 pm.
As we walked into the restaurant we passed two employees taking a break and chatting on a cell phone just outside the main entrance. The hostess was cordial and we were asked whether we prefer a booth or table. We selected a booth and were immediately seated. At that time the restaurant was filled to about 1/3 capacity. That was the extent of our experience with any type of proper customer service.
For the first 10 minutes at our seats, we were neither served or even acknowledged. As a restaurant employee while working my way through school, while I can't condone at least acknowledging the guests with a "We'll be right with you", I can understand that around Valentine's Day can be a hectic time. However, after the 10 minute period, two couples were seated (one right behind us and one across the aisle). Within 2 minutes, a server was present taking both their drink and food order. My wife and I still had not been acknowledged by any employees.
This amounted to one of the worst experiences of customer service that we have experienced. We decided at that time to take our business elsewhere. As we walked out of the restaurant, we passed another three employees, including the hostess who originally served us. At no time did anyone during our 15 minutes in the restaurant from the time we were seated, acknowledge our presence. I have never been so ignored in any of my previous dining experiences. I felt like we were an inconvenience to be ignored until we went away. This is totally inexcusable, and it is amazing to me that this establishment not only seems to tolerate it but encourage it.
