Hotwire 5 Star Hotels Misleading
5 Star Secret Hotel - Complaint
What a joke!. I booked a 5 star secret Las Vegas hotel with Hotwire and got put into a hotel with no casino, no restaurants, smallest pool.
I called Hotwire when we arrived in Vegas to express disappointment and explained the lack of facilities and service was definitely not 5 star. I ask to speak with a manager and tried to explain the hotel and lack of facilities again and see if we could get moved even to a cheaper hotel. I was told by the supervisor that there is no standard for a 5 star hotel and that everyone's definition of a 5 star hotel is different. Apparently Hotwire hotels are ranked on their reviews. REALLY, ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Surely a 5 star hotel in Vegas has at least a restaurant, possibly a couple of bars, maybe even a poker machine here and there, but no - I was wrong.
According to the Hotwire supervisor, that's my interpretation of 5 star. At no stage did the staff offer to assist. All they told me was that they didn't list restaurants in the amenities. Surely that is a given in a 5 star hotel? Anyway, thanks for taking our money Hotwire and giving us something totally substandard with no facilities, not even a cup and plate in the so called kitchenette. HOTWIRE - your staff on this occasion offered no customer service at all and how can you have staff who say that there is no standard for 5tar hotels!
