Customer Service - Complaint
I was planning to use Priceline for a trip with two friends. This trip was for July. My grandmother passed away just the other day and I am no longer able to go on the trip due to financial circumstances. I called Priceline and explained my situation and I was told that I could receive some money back if a death had occurred. I gave them the contact information to confirm the details. After they did so I was told that they lied and couldn't give me money back because her death was not close enough to the trip date. They never informed me of a time limit when asking for the information. I pointed this out and instead of owning up to the mistake I was told that I should be over her death in about a week and it didn't matter.
I was so offended by this. I was very close to my grandmother and I cannot just "get over" her death. There are still $4000 in funeral costs and many things to take care of. Never again will I use a company that is so insensitive and cold hearted. Needless to say I did not get my money back. But whoever said this will not have a job for much longer.
