PALM BEACH GARDENS, FLORIDA -- I registered with this company and paid $5,000 for dating services. I was with them for a whole year and they did not arrange for me a single date! When I requested that they refund me for the payment - because they broke our contract - they agreed for a refund of $1,250. the remaining $3,750 they charge for the 'honor' of being registered with them for a year, wasting your time and energy!

This company is a fake. It is a real scam. The only thing they seem to know very well is protecting themselves against any possible law suit. I guess they have had many opportunity to master this skill.

Stay away from them! They will take your money and give you nothing in return.

I simply do not understand people paying a small fortune to a company to find them a date. What's wrong with the old fashioned way? It's obviously worked for centuries. At any rate there are so many free or minimal fee companies out there that do the same sort of thing if you must do a dating service that I see no reason at all to pay anyone such a huge fee to maybe find someone compatible. Ok, rant over. OP is right about the company, given that a fee was paid they should have upheld their end of the bargain and made an effort to set up multiple dates in the years time. Not even one date is unacceptable unless the requirements of the OP for the date were so restrictive that no one would work with them.

That's what I was thinking, maybe there wasn't anyone that was compatible with him, or that he wasn't compatible with anyone. IMO though, with the amount of people out there I find it kinda hard to believe that there isn't at least one person that would fit his idea of a good date.

I don't want to sound too critical but to pay someone 5 grand to find a suitable date does not seem sane. I can give you some dating advice at no cost. Get out there and socialize. Do some volunteer work. Let your friends know you are available. Friends can be very good matchmakers. Keep a smile on your face when you meet and greet people. Do not be afraid to compliment the opposite sex in a nice charming way. Basically get out and do things. You will meet people with the same intentions that you have. And lastly do not be afraid to ask for a date. A dating service is the last place I would look for a date.

I hired a Denver matchmaker who charged 1/5th of that fee, has an openended contract, shares a ton of information with me and has introduced me to people that I chose based on her recommendation. That is what a matchmaker is and does, not that overpriced scam. There is a place for a matchmaker if she's a real professional like Michele Fields at Bon Jour Matchmaking. She only works with people in Denver and the Front Range though.
