Travelocity Left My Daughter Stranded!
My daughter took their first road trip to visit her grandparents, she saved up her own money and made the trip with a friend. They planned ahead and made reservations through Travelocity to stay in a nice hotel in Houston TX. She made her reservation and received her confirmation email and then Travelocity charged her debit card the amount due. They drive all day and get to their hotel and discover that Travelocity canceled the reservation. What?!? They took the money from her debit card but canceled her reservation.
She spent several hours trying to talk to their customer service people but all they would tell her is there was a discrepancy in the information provided but would not refund her money for up to 48 hours. Your kidding me right?!? My daughter calls me in tears she said she could hardly understand the customer service people and they kept transferring her to more customer service people she still was not able to understand all to no avail! So there she sat on the streets of downtown Houston no hotel, no money crying!
Do not use Travelocity! Their policy is to charge your card, then cancel your reservation because of a discrepancy. Interesting that the discrepancy was not enough for them to take the money from my daughters debit card but enough of a discrepancy to cancel the reservation. I made an attempt to call Travelocity myself to see if I could help. I was placed on hold 5 times talked to three different people all with such strong accents it was difficult to understand them again to no avail.
Do not use Travelocity, this company has become to big for it's britches and no longer understand what true customer service is.
