Progressive Auto Insurance - All I Hear Is What They Can't Do
Policy paid in full - Complaint
BRONX, NEW YORK -- I bough my GMC Terrian and my Progressive policy in full. Progressive asked me to fax my marriage certificate and driver's license and to get a photo inspection. I received the request for photo inspection the Friday before memorial day, and was told I had 5 days to complete. The email was received after 4pm-day 1. Saturday day2, Sunday day 3 and Monday day 4, all of the references for the service given to me by Progressive were closed due to the holiday. Tuesday day 5, none of their references were open after I got off work. I called them they said I had until the next weekend. I had the inspection done Friday 5/31 and faxed the documents. I received cancellation notice again and again. So I faxed it again and again. They actually canceled my collision and refunded my account for the coverage. I literally was am the phone with them twice a week every week since I got this policy. I even downloaded a scan to fax software and they still don't have my documents. I've emailed them the scanned documents and they still don't have them. I was told my coverage was reinstated because the third party responsible for processing the photo inspection was delayed in submitting the documents. I tried to pay back the the money returned to me to secure my coverage and Progressive told me that they couldn't accept my payment because my policy is on hold until they get the documents. Thoroughly frustrated! I did everything thing they asked me to and have ran into brick wall after brick wall.
