Sears - The Worst Service and Scenario Possible. Warranty Is Absolutely Useless Also!
Kenmore Elite Refrigerator - Complaint
MARYLAND -- Bought a brand new Kenmore Elite Refrigerator (model number: 106.51183110) in November 2011. The refrigerator and freezer failed (December 2012) right after the 1st year warranty was up (before Christmas and before we bought an extended warranty). We ended up having to pay, $400+ for the extended warranty, loss all our food (never could get reimbursed for that), and did not get resolution until mid-end of month January. This product/appliance is junk. Its not been 6 months and its failed (refrig/freezer) again. Called the service/warranty office, told us they cannot get anyone out here until the 26th... Absolutely unacceptable!
Today is the 16th. They mislead us by telling is with the warranty we could get a new refrigerator, but that's not true.
Based on the review I've read, one owner has had 4 service calls. At what point do they replace an expensive appliance that's suppose to last Years, not months?
