Dish Network - Extremely Awful Company
UNKNOWN, CALIFORNIA -- Had an awful on the phone experience again, this time with Jack employee ID 4HQ. Called to get a quote because they keep sending us information in the mail, trying to get us back. We were customers of Dish for 8 years or more. We finally canceled our service with them after realizing they had started charging us ****$50 more**** because they had *****changed our plan without letting us know*****. So we canceled the service because we felt ****betrayed****. Well, after receiving the offers in the mail, I decided to give them a call for a quote. This man Jack was *******extremely rude and unpleasant*******.
He knew we had been long time customers, and he asked why we canceled our service. When I told him that we realized that we had been paying more months after because the bill was being auto-paid, he told me that we should have been reading our bill. Are you seriously going to talk that way to a customer? Well, we trusted you guys. Didn't think you would actually raise the prices 7 years into our service! He was in the middle of giving me a lecture when I had the AUDACITY to change the subject and ask him to give me a quote he said he had already given me "all the quotes that I needed".
He had quoted me for each channel package separately. I asked him if he could give me the total. He said he would have to run a credit check first. If he gave me all the quotes that I needed then why couldn't he add it up and give me the total? Why do they need my credit information before they even gave me the quote? He can see in our past account that we never missed a payment, always paying the bill in full way before it was even due. What is the necessity in running a credit check before we even know how much it is going to cost us? This is extremely *******awful customer service******** and now I feel even angrier with Dish by the way I was treated today than I ever did before. What type of people are you guys hiring to work in your call centers? I have never felt this level of ***********unprofessionalism************!
