Citi Card - Thank You Rewards Unredeemable
Citi Card Mastercard - Complaint
After being an outstanding customer with CitiCard for 10 years, we requested an increased credit limit. We were given an increase of $1,000 which was pretty pointless. We needed to make a large purchase with the intent of paying it off the same month. Since CitiCard made that impossible, we decided to cancel the card and find a company that better suited our needs. We had 30 days to redeem our reward points.
Upon visiting the reward website, which had previously been very easy to navigate, I found that I had difficulty accessing my reward points. Since cancelling the card they had removed the thank you reward access page from my log in screen. I then tried the reward website itself and found the simple click to redeem feature was also not there. I tried several more times thinking it was my error before calling the customer service only to be told that my account had expired. If you have a CitiCard I recommend redeeming points before cancelling your card - which you should.
