HIXSON, TENNESSEE -- I love my JCPenney salon stylist and have been using her for over a year now. JCPenney corporate recently decided that it was no longer in their benefit to have a full time receptionist. So this last time I visited, my stylist had to continually stop doing my hair so she could run and answer the phone. It became ridiculous watching each of the 3 stylist take turns leaving their clients to answer the phone. Corporate thinks they are saving money by getting rid of an employee, but all they are doing is driving away business. If that had been my first time there, I would never have gone back. I feel for these stylist trying to make a living and being required to play receptionist as well. Even Great Clips has a receptionist whenever I take my boys.
On top of them taking away their receptionist, they increased the price of my hair cut by $6 dollars. So much for low prices. Big price plus poor customer service sounds like more bad decisions by the corporate leaders of JCPenney.
