AirTran - Attendants Unsympathetic and Rude
Flight attendants on flight 53 on 6/23/13 - Complaint
HOUSTON, TEXAS -- First leg of my flight, three of us were informed that our seats were broken and need to be repaired or we may need a new flight. Nice, right? They fixed the chairs. On another leg, we were told that fueling the plane was taking much longer than usual. Like, about 40 minutes. This caused me, among many others, to be concerned we'd miss our next flight. I had an hour layover that now only afforded me minutes to get there.
I asked an attendant (black male possibly named Pete) if they could please ask passengers to allow those of us who have a connection in 30 minutes or less to get out first. Who wouldn't empathize with fellow passengers? The smart ass replies, "Everyone has a connection. But I'll make an announcement...just for you." If I wouldn't have been kicked off the plane, I'd have let him have it. Who talks to CUSTOMERS like that?!! All I'm asking is for empathy and help.
Some people missed their connections but others like me had a chance. As it was, I ran through one terminal, caught a train, and ran through another terminal--and made it. This guy was a rude, arrogant jerk on a shoddy airline. First and last experience with AirTran. Southwest should be ashamed to be affiliated with the third-class airline with The Worst Customer Experience ever.
