DALLAS, TEXAS -- Open a checking acct. and watch the fees grow. When you open one they will do anything to help you. After a few weeks 180 turn. My DD started a week late because of a company slow in getting things done so because of no activity in the account they charged 13.50. Well that put it overdrawn so charged 27.50 total 41.00.

DD was into my account Thur, at 12 midnight. They block it till Mon morning, their rules. Went to the store Friday for food and card rejected. Thanks. Called them and they say so sorry but that is our policies. They get your money and keep it and there is not one thing you can do about it. Thanks CITI BANK.

Sounds like you came up against the bank's rules more than once. Either the account has a DD requirement to avoid a fee, and the deposit was late, OR you just overdrew. Either way, that isn't the bank's fault. Then your funds were held, which is probably also within the bank's rules.

The trick with checking accounts is to keep a buffer, and deposit funds at least a few days before needing them.

Ditch 'em. It will only get worse. Find a local bank or credit union. Somewhere that you can deal with reasonable, thinking people and not a greed driven monolith!
