Sprint - Cancelled Service Due to No Service but Still Charged for a Whole Month
MARYLAND -- I cancelled my service because I have not had service in my area for a whole month. I called and explained that I am preganant and need a phone in my area. They explained to me (while still being defensive) that they were not sure when I could get service. I asked to get out of my contract for free since they could not give me service in my neighorhood. Even though they were reluctant they did cancel my service. The gentlemen explained to me that he had to cancel my service tonight or I would get charged for a month.
It was explained that I wanted my number but I wasn't concerned and that they could cancel my service. I was not using my phone because I thought my service was being cancelled. I received my new phone by mail four days later and called Sprint to make sure everyhing went through. They explaine to me that I would get charged for a whole month for four days of service. I expalined that my service was supposed t o be cancelled at the end of the billing cycle. They had said that their notes indicated that I didn't cancel my service and that they had to charge me for the whole month but had I called the next day they may have been able to help me. Though they did send me the bag (the night I cancelled) to send my phone back.
The representative gave me every reason why she wasn't compensating me but then stated she had to follow rules and regulations. But I guess if I would of called the next day rules and regulations were different. I have been with this company for years and they did nothing for me but drop my calls take my money and always try to prove me wrong.
