Back of the House Employee - Complaint
BRIGHTON, MICHIGAN -- Well in a nut shell I am not expecting a bright future with Cracker Barrel. I am a par3 busser/dishroom worker and have been asking to be advanced around the store. They hired at least 3 new bussers within the last two weeks reducing my hours to only the night shift. Right out of the blue they advance one of the new "RISING STARS" as we call the new hires to the backup position. The managers are very ddiscriminating on who they want for what position.
But according to CR regulations you have to be at least a par2 employee to advance anywhere. But apparently that sh** hit the fan. But above that, there is a certain manager that will snoop around just to give her kicks. They highly favor their Hispanic employees more than the white ones. Which can go towards racial discrimination. You will never find them searching through the trash for silver ware, or being written up for wadting chemicals. And beyond that, my raise from par2 to par3 was a stinken $.020 cents?
If they really appreciated their employees they could to a lot better than that. All that computer crap you need to study is not worth it. They won't ever consider crosstraining/advancing me around the store until somebody else that they like gets advanced over you. There is so much bulls*** behind the scenes you almost need wings to stay above it.
If you are looking for a job go somewhere else. Plus they will change your scheduled hours without any notice to you. One week I was scheduled a 9-5 shift just to find out they changed it to 6 to close. Just so they can save labor. Complete BS! Go somewhere else to find a job!
