USAA - Loyal Customer Unfriendly

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS -- I have been a loyal USAA member for 15 years, banking, CC's, insurance. I called asking to take out a Home Equity Line of Credit to purchase new windows for my home. Two years ago when I first tried I was told that the HELOC guidelines were increased due the housing market conditions. I tried again due to the fact that home values have increased in my area. Wasn't I surprised when I was told that yes home values have increased and USAA INCREASED their guidelines making it more difficult to qualify. I told the representative that I realize that it is not her fault but the message I am receiving is that USAA does not want my business.
She did her best to convince me that USAA does want my business asked me if I was overall happy with my membership with USAA and yes I am. But, I explained to her that lenders in my area who do not know me, are willing to work with me but USAA who does know me is not. I went on to ask her that if USAA does not want my business why should I give USAA ANY of my business. She did not have an reply to that. I asked her to pass my comments up the chain of command and to inform management that I will be moving ALL of my business from USAA and that I would pass on the commensurate word of mouth advertising.
