Supershuttle - Took 4 Hours to Get to My Hotel
Supershuttle from JFK to Long Island - Complaint
NYC, NEVADA -- I booked a Supershuttle from JFK to Long Island and prepaid a tip for the driver. When I arrived, the attendant told me it would be an hour wait. I was not really happy about this. I realized that there would probably be some wait time but I felt this was a little too long but I agreed. While I waited, several travelers that arrived after me, had their Supershuttles come and take them away. Quite some time after the hour had passed, the attendant called again and they said it would be 10 more minutes. Another driver did show up but he took someone else. I waited longer. The attendant called again, they said 5 more minutes and again, when that driver showed up, he took another party. My driver did not show up for 2 hours. He was not professional looking at all but rather disheveled. Then he takes me over to another terminal to pick up someone else.
The shuttle itself was creaky and seemed like it was in need of maintenance. While driving down the freeway, he actually took two phone calls on his cell phone. To me, this is very dangerous, particularly at highway speeds. I later found out that it is illegal in NY to drive and talk on a cell phone. Of course, he took the other passenger to his destination first, even though he went to a private home and I went to a hotel. My hotel was 40 miles from the airport, from the time I arrived to the time I got to the hotel, it was 4 hours. I definitely do not recommend this service.
