COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA -- I spoke with a TWC representative in late May to cancel my internet service. She informed me that my payment on May 10th paid ahead for future service, so provided service from May 25-June 25th. She said she would be happy to end my service on June 24th and assured me that I would not be billed again. I double-checked this with her, because money is tight.
When I called TWC shortly after noticing a bill in June, they refused to remove the charge, even though I had not yet entered the service period that that charge covered, and TWC refused to acknowledge the details of my previous conversation. I believe TWC willfully double bills their customers when the customer tries to leave, which is dishonest.
