Ikea - Decent Service but Innacurate Information
COLLEGE PARK, MARYLAND -- I recently purchased bedroom and living room furniture at the College Park Ikea for my son. The staff was helpful, but the information I received varied depending on who I spoke to. I wanted delivery of the furniture and the process is confusing at best. It was very difficult to get a consistent story on how the delivery would be handled. And forget about calling the store for clarification. You wind up in automated phone hell.
When I finally did get delivery, it was as if the delivery staff (subcontracted) was doing me a favor, even though I paid for the service. And I later found out that they failed to give me one of the boxes necessary for the sofa. There is no way of knowing how many packages are associated with each piece of furniture, it is not broken out on your paperwork.
In all, a reasonable price for particle board furniture, but the customer service and ease of communication is very poor. Not something I will do again.
