Direct TV - Poor Customer Service/Billing
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA -- How is it that Direct TV can send my account to a collection agency after I paid the $550 cancellation fee?!? I moved out of state, and when I called Direct TV to notifiy them that I'm cancelling, a representative from Direct TV just to leave the equipment in the apartment which I did, and now, I'm being charged an additional $500 for "lost equipment"? WTF?
Because I disputed the charge, they sent my account to a collection agency! I would not recommend Direct TV to anyone. If you're thinking of getting Direct TV, run away.. run far away.
