Raypak - Worst Customer Service

OXNARD, CALIFORNIA -- We purchased the Raypak model 407A low nox model less than 4 years ago. We had problems with the heater just a few month after getting it. We had several certified Raypak technicians come to see our heater at least once per year with several issue. The first was the blowout preventer switch continued to go out.

The main issue we have is there has been a leak on the interior probably since we got the heater. We never noticed it because there was never any water leaking from heater. When we discovered what had happened we called Raypak. We called then at least a half a dozen times. They even sent out a repair person to take pictures.

After all of te phone calls they were not accepting the fact that there was a leak from the beginning. This heater looked immaculate on the outside, but the inside was completely rusted out . Talking to the service manager [snip] Coates was even rude. They offered to pay half on the parts, but still added up to $1200 with the discount. I would not recommend a Raypak heater to anyone. I have since purchased a Pentair Sta-brite heater.
