New sales IS250 - Complaint
VAN NUYS, CALIFORNIA -- Keyes Lexus is an unethical dealer and intentionally tries to wiggle out of advertised guaranteed price on USAA. com for new 2013 IS 250.
On 6/25/2013, I searched for a new 2013 IS 250 on usaa. com and received a guaranteed savings certificate from Keyes Lexus for $7928 off base price plus more depending on options. On 6/26, Mr. Musab [snip] from Keyes sent me details of 3 cars they were willing to sell. On 6/28, I confirmed to Musab that I was interested in buying 2 of the cars tomorrow on 6/29 and asked for final price for the cars. On his request I sent him copies of savings certificates I got from Keyes on usaa. com website. After that Musab did not answer calls for several hours. So I contacted Internet manager, Sam [snip] who told me both vehicles were sold already.
Musab finally answered my call at 4pm and told me the 2 vehicles were still there but they had made a mistake on usaa. com and the discount would be $2000 less than guarantee. I told him this was unethical. At 6pm, I called Sam again and he said cars were sold. I asked to speak to owner or senior manager but none was there. When I told him that I was going to complain to BBB, he offered to try to find me another car. 5 min. later sales manager called to offer identical car but with $2900 of dealer installed chrome wheels which I declined. Bait & switch!
