Chegg.com - Deceptive Customer Service
I woke up to an e-mail informing me that I had not returned my book and that $96 was already taken out from my account. I waited on the phone for 30 minutes before a customer service representative answered and he sounded apologetic and helpful enough. He asked for the phone number on the account and the amount that was taken out. He promised to refund me and we said our goodbyes. Neither of us hung up though when he continued to tell his co-worker that my case would be an easy one since I gave him two different numbers.
Flabbergasted, I asked him loudly if I gave him a wrong number. He then sounded flustered and told me that the phone number I gave him didn't match the number I was calling with. I told him it was my sister's and he apologized again and said goodbye. Why couldn't he tell me if this was going to a problem when we initially talked? Why so shady? I'm glad I graduated so I don't have to deal with this company again.
Their prices are good, but they obviously don't have their customers' best interests in mind.
