Power Tools - Complaint
ETOBICOKE -- On July 4th, 2013 at 3:42 pm I paid for a dremmel rotary tool and I drove home anxiously to play with it. To my utter surprise the sealed box was empty. I drove back apprehensive and frustrated. As expected, the customer service representative tried her luck suggesting I was pulling a fast one. Having to prove my honesty, as pathetic as it sounds I called for a manager. Although the manager did not insist to prove I was a thief, she made no attempt to own up to the error. Candidly she replaced the item expecting me to walk away satisfied.
When I mentioned the inconvenience, the material and moral prejudice and the word "compensation" she dismissed me. Her excuse: "we are as upset as you are". I ask the reader to verify my judgment: should the customer absorb the loss incurred by an error that belongs to the service provider?
