Time Warner Cable - Frustrated
Technical Support - Complaint
SARATOGA SPRINGS, NEW YORK -- My fiancé and I moved to the Saratoga Springs area a few days ago and had Time Warner Cable come to set up our cable and "high speed internet." After the technician left, we soon became frustrated and surprised by how slow the internet was. It felt like we were on dial up. To do the simplest things, like check our gmail or Facebook, took a very long time.
We gave it two days, and then called Time Warner.
My first call was at 8:40 am and it lasted 2 minutes and 18 seconds, as soon as I hit the button to be connected to technical support, I was hung up on by their automated machine.
My second call was at 8:42 am and it lasted 2 minutes and 55 seconds. Same exact thing occurred. I hit a series of buttons, and when I got to the end of it, the machine disconnected me.
Third times a charm. I called at 8:45 am and I didn't get hung up on. Yay! This call lasted 42 minutes and 49 seconds. I was on hold for about 15 minutes and then spoke with a a woman who was trying to be as helpful as possible. She had me do a number of things, which ultimately made my internet not work. So now we have to wait for a technician to come help us tomorrow.
I asked if we would be charged for internet for these days and was told to contact the billing office. Not exactly what I feel like doing right now.
Maybe others will have better luck.
