Direct TV - Pay-Per-View Rip-Off
PHOENIX, ARIZONA -- I have been a long time Direct TV customer and still would have been had they been able to find service from the apartment I moved into. I just got charged for 4 pay-per-view movies that I never ordered. When I called they told me that I ordered them via remote control and that the movies showed up on my access card. I was never able to order movies via remote control and always had to call them in or order them through the net.
When I explained this to the representative, she explained that there was nothing they could do about it because the access card showed I had ordered them. Worse still, they were movies I would never waste my money on. Fortunately, after having to demand that I speak to a supervisor several times, the supervisor did agree to reverse the charges and I would get a refund in 30 days. We will see.
I guarantee you, if I move again even if I could subscribe to Direct TV - I will not. It's the principal of the manner.
