Dish Network - Dishonest, Money Hungry company
Dish Network top 200 - Complaint
CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA -- I had moved and a friend of mines mentioned dish Network to me because the cable company I really wanted were asking for too much money to start service with them. With Dish network I paid much of nothing to start with, however a few days later I started having trouble with gaining signal on my t.vs and became a habit. I found myself on the phone with dish everyday you would have thought they were my best friend or something, it was crazy and also annoying, I had other things to besides talk to a representative all day everyday. They finally sent someone out check on the problem however the next time if I had any problems they clearly told me I would be responsible for the cost of the technician. I had never heard of such thing especially when I had no control of the terrible signal. They would never credit me for the time I lost but made sure I paid them on time otherwise my service would be interrupted. Dish is money hungry and you think they believed in 'customer is always right' unfortunately that not a belief for dish. My service had been interrupted for a week until I paid this particular balance which I couldn't until I got paid, when I received my check I called dish to restore my service only to fing out my balance had jumped up $200 more now this was within four days of my service being interrupted. I sat on the phone with dish for about two hours trying to get a explanation and of course they had all types of reasons but when I told them I could just pay $200 to terminate my service altogether and find another cable company they decided to work with me telling me to pay the balance from the day before and my next payment would due a month from then. I payed it that day only to wake up two days later and my cable was cut off, now remind you I had just made a payment two days prior and was told my next due date was almost a month from then. I called them and they basically told me they would not cut my service back on until I payed the almost $200 and would not be giving me a refund. I felt used and the joke was on me because they knew this would happen the whole time when they kindly accepted my payment however they me under the impression that my next payment wasn't due until a month from then. They were very dishonest with me and that day I lost all trust I had with them, had I known they was only giving me 24hours to make a payment of the remaining balance I never would have made the payment they agreed with me on until maybe I had enough altogether or I could have just switched cable companies. After all that dish has put me though within the past year I have absolutely nothing positive to say about the dishonest, untrusted, money hungry company and I would never refer anyone to them again.
